Thanks Bob. It was his choice and apart from not being in my own house, it’s
for the best. It’s a long time to spend with somebody but I think sometimes
people can just get used to each other. I’m very much out the other side. I
do see him regularly still (I do his books and payroll) and I’m reminded now
of why I’m glad we are no longer together.
Sounds like you’ll still have a lovely Christmas. I do hope you’ll be able
to get away for your usual NY break.

I’m really sorry to hear about your partner. That’s a major blow after 10
years especially after what we’ve all been through this year. I do hope
things work out for you.
We usually go down to Highcliff at New year and have a break by the sea but
obviously we are in tier three so we are not sure if that’s going to happen.
My daughter lives in Nottingham and my Son lives in Manchester they will be
both down to our house with their partners and a very excitable boxer ( We
are in Wolston) so we will hopefully all have dinner together. My niece
lives not far away so she will be down at night. My brother and sister live
in Coventry so we will probably meet up with them. Other than that we will
eat as much as we can, put on the usual extra stone and get completely
pissed.
Again I’m sorry about your partner. I’ve been through all that. Hopefully
you will come out the other end.

I couldn’t agree more, Bob. It’s been a very challenging and depressing
year.
I bet that working from home has had its highs and lows. It’s nice to
interact with other people. That’s why I’m very thankful to work at
Thwaites. As you know we’ve been back since May. I wouldn’t have liked to
have been working from home all this time, it’s the interaction that I
enjoy.
I’m spending it with my parents. I’ve been living there since 1st March.
Long story in a nutshell. Split up with my partner of 10 years and moved
back in with my parents. Thought it would only be for a couple of months –
it’s been 10 months now! Ex is living in my house trying to sort a mortgage
out for himself. That’s been a challenge as he’s the MD of his own garage in
Coventry. Lenders are being so much more choosey. First application was
declined so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the 2nd one that’s in process
at the moment.
How are you spending Christmas and New Year?

Just cant wait for this year to end and I cant see January and Feb being
much better.
We’ve not opened our office properly for 6 months now. I’ve got a four floor
building for 5 people. Its just not worth our while, We found its worked
pretty well working from home but we will be looking for smaller office in
the new year.
