No service between Highbury & Islington and Dalston Junction after 22:15
Use local bus routes. Rail replacement buses will run.
DLR
Thursday 24, Monday 28, Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 July
No service on the DLR after 23:00 each night
Use alternative Tube or rail services, or local bus routes. The network will
continue to run as normal during the day. This is due to essential track
works.
Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July
No service between Bank and Canary Wharf, between Tower Gateway and Canning
Town, and between Stratford and Canary Wharf
Use Tube or national rail services, or local bus routes. Rail replacement
buses will run between Westferry and Canning Town (via Canary Wharf and All
Saints). This is due to maintenance work.
London Trams
Until Sunday 27 July
No service to/from Elmers End and between Wandle Park and East Croydon
Use local bus routes. Tram replacement buses will run between Waddon Marsh
and East Croydon. This is due to essential engineering work.
Buses and roads
Bus journeys will be affected by the following changes over the weekend. We
expect to run a good service, but buses may be delayed, diverted or stop
short of their normal destination.
Until Saturday 29 November
A4 Great West Road
Until Saturday 29 November, lane closures will be in place between Boston
Manor Road and Ealing Road.
Bus route E2 will be diverted along the A4 due to vehicle restrictions at
the Windmill Road junction. Journeys along this route may take longer than
usual.
This to allow National Highways

Music, comedy and sporting events will take place in the below venues at the

* London Stadium - 11:00 until 16:00, Friday 25 to Sunday 27 July
* O2 Arena - 18:30 until 22:30, Friday 25 to Sunday 27 July
* Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - 17:00 until 22:30, Friday 25 and Saturday 26
July
* ExCeL Arena - 10:00 until 18:00, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July
* Wembley Stadium - 17:45 until 22:45, Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Wednesday
30 July
Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected before and after each
event, with local road closures in place around stadiums.
Outdoor music festivals
Music festivals will take place at the following parks each day at specific
times:
* Boston Manor Park - 12:00 until 22:00, Friday 25 until Sunday 27 July
* Clapham Common - 16:30 until 22:30, Friday 25 and Saturday 26 July
* Blackheath Common - 12:00 until 22:00, Saturday 26 July
* Elthorne Park - 12:00 until 22:00, Saturday 26 July
* Chiswick House and Gardens - 12:00 until 22:00, Sunday 27 July
Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected for each event.
Friday 25 July until early August
A40
From 22:00 on Friday 25 July until early August, a section of the A40 will
be closed westbound overnight for emergency works in the following phases:
* From 22:00 on Friday 25 July until 05:00 the following morning - between
Marylebone Flyover and Ranelagh Bridge (Ranelagh Bridge will remain open for
access to A40)
* From 22:00 on Thursday 31 July until 05:00 the following morning - between
Marylebone Flyover and A3220 West Cross Route (Ranelagh Bridge will be
closed so access onto A40 is via the Westway Roundabout)
* From 22:00 until 05:00 each night on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 August -
between Marylebone Flyover and Ranelagh Bridge (Ranelagh Bridge will remain
open both nights for access to A40)
Additionally, from Saturday 26 July until early August, one westbound lane
will be closed 24/7 on the A40 between Marylebone Flyover and the Gloucester
Terrace slip.

Saturday 26 July
Central London
From 05:00 until 23:00, Pall Mall East will be closed. This is due to a
cultural event taking place at the National Gallery and Trafalgar Square,
followed by a procession, from 11:00 until 17:00. Large crowds and increased
traffic levels are expected.
From 12:00 until 19:00, a march will take place, setting off at 14:00 from
BBC Portland Place to Parliament Square via Regent Street, Piccadilly
Circus, Haymarket, Cockspur Street and Whitehall. Large crowds and increased
traffic levels are expected. A rally will take place at Parliament Square
until 19:00.
Kingston
From 11:00 until 14:00, a cultural event will take place in Kingston, with a
parade on footpaths, from Barge Walk at Kingston Bridge to Canbury Gardens
via Turks Boat Yard. Large crowds are expected.
Sunday 27 July
Oval Cricket Ground
From 12:30 until 21:00, Oval Cricket Ground will host cricket matches. Large
crowds and increased traffic levels are expected throughout the day.
Until Tuesday 29 July
A3 Clapham High Street/Clapham Road
From 21:00 to 05:00 each Sunday to Thursday night until Tuesday 29 July, the
A3 Clapham High Street will be closed between Clapham Park Road and
Stockwell Road.
Where possible, drivers should travel via Brixton Road and Brixton Hill
during these closures. Signed diversions will be in place for journeys in
the local area.
During the overnight closures, bus routes 88, 155, 322, 345 and N155 will be
on diversion, with routes 50 and P5 also diverted from Wednesday 23 until
Friday 25 July.

Until Saturday 20 September
Swiss Cottage Gyratory and South Hampstead
College Crescent will be closed southbound between Buckland Crescent and the
junction of Avenue Road. The northbound lanes will remain open for road
vehicles and cyclists. Works will also take place on Alexandra Road from
Monday 1 until Saturday 20 September.
This is the first phase of a series of road and lane closures around Swiss
Cottage Gyratory and South Hampstead that will take place until Friday 17
July 2026, while HS2 carry out works to divert a gas main ahead of future
tunnelling works.
Diversions will be in place but delays to your journey are expected. Check

Friday 25 July until mid-December
Lambeth Bridge
From 21:00 on Friday 25 until 05:00 on Monday 28 July, Lambeth Bridge will
be closed to all motorised vehicles and cyclists in both directions.
From Monday 28 July until mid-December, Lambeth Bridge will be closed
eastbound (towards Lambeth). Westbound traffic (towards Westminster) will be
unaffected. Cyclists travelling from Lambeth to Westminster will be in the
traffic lane across the bridge. Cyclists travelling from Westminster to
Lambeth will use the newly constructed cycleway.
From mid-December, the bridge will re-open in both directions, but works to
complete the scheme will continue until 2026.
For journeys towards Lambeth, bus routes 3, N3 and C10 will be diverted via
Vauxhall Bridge and Westminster Bridge. Bus routes 77, 87, 344 and N87 will
be affected by increased levels of traffic near Lambeth Bridge. Journeys on
these routes may take longer than usual.
Pedestrians will still be able to use the bridge to cross the river.
Use alternative river crossings. This is part of improvement works to
replace the unsignalised roundabouts at either end of Lambeth Bridge with
signal-controlled junctions.
Monday 4 August until spring 2027
A23 Streatham Hill
From Monday 4 August, there will be a series of lane restrictions in both
directions on the A23 between the junction with Holmewood Road on Brixton
Hill and the junction with B221 Sternhold Avenue on Streatham Hill.
This is for work on a new permanent road layout to improve walking, cycling
and bus journeys on the A23 Streatham Hill.
If you are travelling in the Streatham area, consider walking or cycling for
shorter journeys. If you're using the A23 for long distance journeys, use
the A24 or A3 instead. Allow more time for your journeys and check before
you travel.
The A23 will be closed between A205 Christchurch Road and B221 Sternhold
Avenue from 22:00 until 05:00 each night on Sunday 3 and Monday 4 August, in
order to safely install traffic management. Signed diversions will be in
place during this closure.

From Monday 28 July until mid-December, Lambeth Bridge =
will be closed eastbound (towards Lambeth). Westbound traffic (towards =
Westminster) will be unaffected. Cyclists travelling from Lambeth to =
Westminster will be in the traffic lane across the bridge. Cyclists =
travelling from Westminster to Lambeth will use the newly constructed =
cycleway. <br>

From mid-December, the bridge will re-open in both =
directions, but works to complete the scheme will continue until =
2026.<br>

For journeys towards Lambeth, bus routes 3, N3 and C10 =
will be diverted via Vauxhall Bridge and Westminster Bridge. Bus routes =
77, 87, 344 and N87 will be affected by increased levels of traffic near =
Lambeth Bridge. Journeys on these routes may take longer than usual.<br>

Pedestrians will still be able to use the bridge to =

A23 Streatham Hill</h3>From Monday 4 August, there will =
be a series of lane restrictions in both directions on the A23 between =
the junction with Holmewood Road on Brixton Hill and the junction with =

This is for work on a new permanent road layout to =
improve walking, cycling and bus journeys on the A23 Streatham Hill.<br>
<br>
If you are travelling in the Streatham area, consider =
walking or cycling for shorter journeys. If you're using the A23 for =
long distance journeys, use the A24 or A3 instead. Allow more time =
for your journeys and check before you travel.<br>
