Hi Charles,
No, the 34S version isn't recommended for newbie electric fliers. You
could easily overheat the motor.
I would recommend the 1025 Turbo on 3S LiPo for a model of that weight.

Can these ....Powerline Micro 1020 Turbo/3S 91g, up to 1800g model also
work for 4S Lipos's
I have got a XPLORER...converted to F5J config...will weigh dry about
1700g and i am thinking will be about 1950g with all the motor drive
treain in...will this motor be ok ...thio swill be my first F5J rig...so
it will be a airframe that I will use to learn the craft(so to speak)
