The Supplier Locator Service and SME Agenda
UK Government and Public Sector spend with SMEs is continually on the incre=
ase, spending in excess of =A3220Billion on goods and services every single=
year. It has been the stated intent of The Cabinet Office that =A31 of eve=
ry =A33 of Government spend should go to SMEs. The Governments SME Agenda a=
nd Action Plan has seen Government make a priority of getting money through=
its supply chain into the hands of SMEs, by both setting targets and intro=
ducing new procurement mechanisms. Against this backdrop, the Wired-Gov Sup=
plier Locator Service has been developed specifically to embrace the SME Ag=
enda and provide a platform for SMEs and Suppliers to communicate directly =
with buyers and decision makers across the entire Government & Public Secto=

The Supplier Locator Service provides a trusted platform for Government and=
