Hi Simon,

Adding a rubber bank to close your blades looks easy. I have added some photos
here:

https://www.hyperflight.co.uk/products.asp?code=SPINNER-RUBBER

> I have also included a photo of the programme card. There are no instructions
with it. I have only set the brake to yes but would changing any other settings
help?

I don't know it but I doubt changing it will help.

Kind regards,

Neil.

Hi Neil

Thanks I really appreciate you getting back to me so quickly. I have never heard
about the elastic band fix! I am unsure how that would be possible on the
folding prop of my glider - please see attached photos. I have also included a
photo of the programme card. There are no instructions with it. I have only set
the brake to yes but would changing any other settings help?

I look forward to hearing from you

Kind regards

Simon

I confirm it is an ESC issue.

In some ESCs brake comes on for only a short time (to stop the prop) and then
goes off. Usually a folded prop says folded and all is okay. Have you got a
rubber band around the blade roots to keep the blades folded?

Kind regards,

Neil.

Subject: Issue with prop brake on powered glider

Hi there

I would appreciate your advice please. You come highly recommended from one of
my flying buddies!

I have an 80 inch wingspan glider with a Hacker brushless motor. It has a Ripmax
Quantum 40A speed controller and I fly on a 3S 2200 Lipo. The receiver is a
futaba R3006SB with futaba 10J Tx

The issue is that the prop brake has recently started working only
intermittently. You can hear the brake come on as the prop stops suddenly, but
then 75% of the time the prop windmills and slows the glider down so that it
descends much more quickly then when the prop folds.

I have tried recalibrating the throttle and that hasn't really made any
difference. Also I have got the correct program card and have set it to brake
on, but to.no avail.

I'm assuming it can only really be a speed controller issue as everything else
is working perfectly?

I would be happy to purchase a new speed controller from you if you felt this is
indeed the issue.

Thanks so much for your help on this in advance

Kind regards

Simon Robinson
