More than fifty years ago=2C Seymour W. Duncan reshaped what a Telecaster=
=C2=AE could be. While working in London in the early 1970=E2=80=99s=2C he=
created the first =E2=80=9CTele-Gib=E2=80=9D for Jeff Beck=2C blending Te=
lecaster=C2=AE simplicity with humbucker power and sustain. Shortly after=
=2C Seymour refined the concept further for his own personal guitar=2C sta=
rting with a 1950=E2=80=99s Fender body and neck=2C but addressing intonat=
ion=2C string spacing=2C and ergonomics in ways that suited his own prefer=
ences. That instrument became Seymour=E2=80=99s lifelong workhorse. Now=2C=
to celebrate five decades as one of the world=E2=80=99s most influential=
pickup makers=2C Seymour Duncan and the Fender Custom Shop are collaborat=
ing to recreate Seymour=E2=80=99s =E2=80=9CTele-Gib=E2=80=9D in a special=
limited run.
Every detail of Seymour=E2=80=99s personal instrument has been meticulousl=
y studied and faithfully reproduced by the Fender Custom Shop. The Seymour=
Duncan =E2=80=9CTele-Gib=E2=80=9D 50th Anniversary Telecaster=C2=AE featu=
res a one-piece select ash body with Seymour=E2=80=99s custom arm and bell=
y contours=2C all finished in a beautifully aged nitrocellulose lacquer. T=
he neck is a comfortable C shape=2C precisely matching the taper and feel=
of the original. To ensure the authentic Tele-Gib experience=2C the guita=
r features an aged gold Gibson Tune-o-matic=C2=AE bridge and stopbar tailp=
iece=2C providing the feel and tuning stability that Seymour demanded for=
his studio and stage use.
At the heart of the Tele-Gib is a unique=2C pre-production variation of th=
e JB/Jazz pickup set=2C replicating the pickups Seymour built for his own=
guitar. Wound by Maricela =E2=80=9CMJ=E2=80=9D Juarez in the Seymour Dunc=
an Custom Shop=2C lightly aged=2C and exclusive to this guitar=2C this set=
features a slightly different bridge coil wire than a production JB=2C al=
ong with carefully de-gaussed magnets tuned to Seymour=E2=80=99s personal=
preference. The 500k Bourns volume potentiometer and 250k CTS tone potent=
iometer were selected to match the exact setup in Seymour=E2=80=99s guitar=
=2E The result is a familiar voice with a more nuanced response=2C matching=
the pickups that powered Seymour=E2=80=99s original Tele-Gib.
Each limited-edition instrument includes a certificate of authenticity sig=
ned by Seymour W. Duncan and the Fender Custom Shop=2C representing the co=

=9D for Jeff Beck=2C blending Telecaster=C2=AE simplicity with humbuc=
ker power and sustain. Shortly after=2C Seymour refined the concept furthe=
r for his own personal guitar=2C starting with a 1950=E2=80=99s Fende=
r body and neck=2C but addressing intonation=2C string spacing=2C and ergo=
nomics in ways that suited his own preferences. That instrument becam=
e Seymour=E2=80=99s lifelong workhorse. Now=2C to celebrate five deca=

r Duncan and the Fender Custom Shop are collaborating to recreate Sey=

nniversary Telecaster=C2=AE features a one-piece select ash body with=
Seymour=E2=80=99s custom arm and belly contours=2C all finished in a beau=
tifully aged nitrocellulose lacquer. The neck is a comfortable C shap=
e=2C precisely matching the taper and feel of the original. To ensure=
the authentic Tele-Gib experience=2C the guitar features an aged gold Gib=

=80=9D Juarez in the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop=2C lightly aged=2C an=
d exclusive to this guitar=2C this set features a slightly different bridg=
e coil wire than a production JB=2C along with carefully de-gaussed m=
agnets tuned to Seymour=E2=80=99s personal preference. The 500k Bourn=
s volume potentiometer and 250k CTS tone potentiometer were selected to ma=
tch the exact setup in Seymour=E2=80=99s guitar. The result is a fami=
liar voice with a more nuanced response=2C matching the pickups that =
powered Seymour=E2=80=99s original Tele-Gib.
