Hi Anthony,
In order for Taylor to supply shims they please require the following
information. See details below.
This is the information we need:
- serial number of the guitar and customer's details in case the guitar
has not been registered with us yet (name and address)
- - Humidity levels of the instrument, hygrometer readings (if the high
action is the result of the guitar being over humidified you would need
to stabilize the humidity first before adjusting the neck angle)
- The number on the shim currently installed on the guitar.
- Action measurement between the top of the 12th fret and the bottom of
both E strings. This needs to be done with between .004-.009 of relief
at the 7th fret.
