Hi Phil,
I've had a think about our conversation last week and would really like to
explore a 12 fret option if possible. I've had a look around the Atkin site
and it's raised a few more questions:
1. Are there any other options for types of wood on the back? I've seen
they do a "reserve" option for the j43 which has the red spruce top I want,
but also has a honduran mahogany back and sides - would I be able to add
that on to the previous spec for the j43 and what would that cost? Are
there any other types of mahogany available?
2. I've seen their "J47" which is based on an LG2 - would I be able to have
the exact same spec as discussed on that body shape, but have a 12 fret
option and a slotted headstock? I haven't played an LG2 or a J47, but I am
interested in a small body as I trained as a classical guitarist so I'm
used to them.
3. I've seen their "hawaiian master" guitar, which appears to be a J43 but
with a 12 fret - would I be able to apply the previous spec to this option?
The wide fretboard and 12 fret join are exactly what I want.
I don't suppose you ever get j43 / j47 / hawaiian master guitars in to the
shop? I've been looking a spec sheets and doing research, but I think I'm
going to have to play some before I put the order in.
Just for clarity, the spec I mentioned before (to save you having to search
around)
Discussed and confirmed as possible
Red Spruce top
Mahogany back and sides
45mm nut (at least)
Ebony fretboard
Desired
12 fret neck join
slotted headstock
Many thanks,
Joe

ious spec for the j43 and what would that cost? Are there any other types o=

"J47" which is based on an LG2 - would I be able to have the exa=

a slotted headstock? I haven't played an LG2 or a J47, but I am intere=
