  EU VAT changes:
  make sure you're ready for July 1

  Dear customer,

  The European Union's VAT rules will change on July 1, 2021. It's 
essential you are prepared for any potential impact this could have on 
your business, but there is still time to register for the exclusive 
KPMG solution before these rules come into effect.

  		 The key changes to the rules are:

  		 REMOVAL OF THE €22 IMPORT VAT EXEMPTION
		 INTRODUCTION OF AN OPTIONAL IMPORT ONE-STOP SHOP (IOSS) AND SINGLE 
EU VAT RETURN
		 CERTAIN ONLINE MARKETPLACES BECOMING THE DEEMED SUPPLIER AND VAT 
COLLECTOR

  Sellers or online marketplaces using the IOSS will be able to collect 
VAT from customers at the time of sale, then file a single monthly IOSS 
return for all their eligible sales to consumers in the EU.

  KPMG's IOSS solution includes easy registration, the preparation and 
submission of your IOSS returns, and up-to-date information about your 
IOSS compliance obligations. It is also available at an exclusive rate

  Once you have your IOSS number, it is essential that you include it on 
your FedEx Air Waybill each time you ship for eligible goods sold on 
your own website. If you don't use the IOSS, VAT will be due on 
importation into the EU. FedEx will pay this to the authorities, then 
recover it from the receiver (or you as the shipper). There will be a 
disbursement fee for this service. For goods sold via marketplaces, you 
should follow the instructions provided by those marketplaces.
