_�� � ���b�8 TM0001(Open Boat Shed Foundation on Flood Plain. Dear Ground Screw Centre Team,
The aim with this small project was to construct an open boat shed clear of the ground (it was subject to flooding) using new and reused materials (from a previously dismantled boat shed) to house general boating equipment (oars, fenders, outboards etc).
After a lot of online research we selected these as they appeared to suit a particular set of requirements, namely:

Easy for one person to install, level and build from (the boat shed was largely self-build)
The ability to stand proud of the ground as the site is prone to flooding (it is on an island in the Thames)
Elimination of the need for concrete or masonry foundations because boat-only access presented transportation and handling difficulties.
{endbullet}I was very impressed; six screws were installed and levelled in a morning, and I was able to start the main build on the same day. Over the course of several weekends the build was completed and made ready for use. The attached images show a) one of the screws with post, beam and decking arrangement over, and b) the open deck with the re-used corrugated steel mono-pitch roof and open slat side-cladding (to the rear, the adjoining boundary fence and one side dense bamboo vegetation, the other side being open).
So useful is the shed we find ourselves using it for all sorts of other uses; log store, wood store and outside garden equipment included.
I hope this small intro and the accompanying images gives some idea of the ground-screws in use.

This year�s Big Build was undertaken for St Michael�s Youth Project in Hull to give children and young people in East Yorkshire the opportunity to escape city life, understand the benefits of nature and improve their wellbeing. The charity supports those aged five to 24 who come from an area of high social and economic disadvantage, while the new facilities aim to challenge poor health and child obesity by improving access to green spaces.
We provided a foundation solution which prevented the need for excavation and concrete in a sloping woodland area, which allowed the project to go ahead without digging up existing vegetation.
The foundation supported a welfare building with an outdoor decking area that would not have been feasible with traditional methods. We also collaborated on this with a M-AR modular building company, which displays the innovative building methods that our technology can bring to the market.
We are extremely proud the Ground Screw Centre were involved as working with the community is an important part of our company�s philosophy. It was a real privilege to have been able to donate our products and services to such a great cause.

<b>Complete Shed Base Kit:</b> = 3-5 Days (�125) - Your timber will be cut to size and sent on a pallet along with your ground screws and installation kit. A copy of your shed base diagram will be sent with your kit along with all extras required to complete your installation.
<b>How to order:</b>
Please follow the instructions below to order your kit.
<b>1 - Select Kit Type Required:</b>
<b> *Ground Screws and Timber Cut List:</b> Includes Ground Screws/brackets and installation tools. We will also provide you with and a cut list that you can take to your local timber merchant to purchase your timber locally. You will also be given a diagram showing how to build your shed base.
<b>*Complete Shed Base Kit: </b> Includes a 4"x2" timber base cut so size, Ground Screws/brackets and installation tools and a diagram showing how to build your shed base.
<b> 2 - Select Ground Screw Length:</b>
<b>Ground Screw Advice:</b>
<b>* 68mm x 550mm Ground Screw:</b> Recommended Install Range: Ground level - 100mm above ground level. Max load capacity of 2.3KN (0.23 Tonne) when fully installed in solid ground using our hand held installation tool.
<b>* 68mm x 750mm Ground Screw:</b> Recommended Install Range: Ground level - 200mm above ground level. Max load capacity of 4.28KN (0.23 Tonne) when fully installed in solid ground using our hand held installation tool.
<b>3 - Select Joist Direction:</b>
Your joists should be running in the opposite direction from the bearers of your shed floor to ensure the flooring has sufficient support. Please view the product images on this page or call 02476 108 109 if unsure which option to select.
<b>Your order will include:</b>
* Depending on which option you chose, you will either be sent your timber cut to size or have a cut list provided for you which you can take to your local timber merchant for your joist base.
* A diagram showing how we would suggest you set out your joist base and the ground screws
* 6/7 x Your Chosen Ground Screws (quantity depends on joist direction required)
* Premium Bracket System (including fixings)
* 40mm Wood Screws for fixing your ground screw brackets to your joist base
* 90mm Wood Screws for constructing your timber base (only when ordering a complete shed base kit)
