Express Music was first started by Peter Brown in 1983 after the local music shop he was working in closed and left him without employment and Solihull without a music shop. Over the next years the business grew taking on staff and moving into new premises. 

<p>
In 2003 with Peter now concentrating on a new venture the business was taken over by current owner Philip Graham
</p>

<p>
2009 was another landmark year at Express Music taking over the Music Exchanges / TMC store in <a href="products.asp?page=StoreCoventry">Coventry</a>. The 10,000 ft<sup>2</sup> building was refurbished and reopened as Express Music in October of the same year.
</p>

<p>
Online sales have paid a large part to our success in recent years. With our own photo booth the pictures are of the actual instruments you�re purchasing, real time stock levels, next working day free UK delivery and all goods inspected prior to dispatch. We aim to respond to all emails within 1 working day (please note we are closed Sunday & Monday) and are here to help all the way through your shopping experience. We offer 6, 9 or 12 months interest free credit on all instruments over �300 online or in store.

Express Music remains a privately owned company and has a simple philosophy, quality instruments, genuine service and competitive prices. All members of staff are active musicians, not on any sales commission and are on hand to give you honest advice.

Express Music Coventry is located a few miles east of the city centre occupying five converted houses to create a 5,000 ft<sup>2</sup> showroom, warehousing and workshop base for the company.

<h3><a name="delivery"></a>Delivery / Postage Information</h3>
<p>All deliveries to mainland
UK are <strong>free of charge</strong> for orders of �50 and above. For orders below �50 there is a small charge of �4.99.</p>

    <p>Orders
        Received by 12pm for in stock items will be despatched for Next Working Day Delivery Tuesday -Friday (we are closed monday).</p>
    <p>Responsibility
        for ownership of the goods passes to purchaser once we have delivered
      them.<br>
        Upon receiving your item please sign for as "Unchecked" therefore
          if the item has been damaged in transit we can claim for it off the
        courier.</p>
  
    <p>Unless otherwise advised, delivery will be made by a fully-insured courier
  service, within normal business hours. Damages/shortages must be notified within
  3 working days of delivery. This does not affect your statutory rights.</p>
    <p>We are currently only shipping to a limited number of countries. However,
      we are happy to deliver to other countries, so
      if your country is not listed please <a href="products.asp?page=contact">contact
      us</a> for exact shipping cost details.
    </p>

<h3>VAT</h3>

VAT is charged at {VAT_RATE}% for all orders within the 
EU, for all
  orders outside the EU VAT is not charged.

<h3><a name="returns"></a>Returns</h3>
<p>New items come with a minimum 12 month warranty against manufacturer
  defect.
</p>

  Certain manufacturers offer extended warranties which will be enclosed with
  the product, these usually require you to supply a copy of your proof of purchase.

In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, any goods can be
      returned for any reason within 14 working days for a refund, less carriage
      costs which are  
<p> Small Item �10 (parts / pedal etc)
<p> Medium Item �25 (guitars, most instruments, practice amps)
<p> Large Item �45 (large amps, pa speakers, digital pianos)
<p>
All Returned goods must be in their original condition and packaging
      and be in re-sellable condition. Special orders are not eligible for refund. If you decide that you do not wish to
      keep an item you must contact us before returning your item(s). Alternatively we can arrange collection, the
      cost for a collection is �15 small item, �30 Medium item and �50 for a Large item.
</p>

<p>All carriage will incur a 1% insurance surcharge (based on total shipment value)

<p>In Store sales are not subject to Distance Sellings Regulations. Faulty goods can be returned for a full refund. Non faulty items returned in original condition may be exchanged or a credit note can be issued at our discretion.
