#SECTION Fitting Guide
<p>
The threaded bar of the cast iron radiator wall stay can be cut to size in order that you can position the outer plate and nut in the correct position, either on the outer part of the sections or inside the sections as shown on the pictures.
</p>
<p>
After securing the round base plate and collar into position, simply measure the threaded bar to the required length and cut with a hack saw ensuring that the cut end is then screwed into the baseplate and collar.
Finally, just tighten the plates into position.
</p>

As stated in our fitting guidelines, appropriate inhibitor should be used in conjunction with manufacturer's instructions and appropriate quantities must be used for the water content of the system.

As a function of their design, cast iron radiators will have substantially higher water content per radiator when compared to a modern steel panel radiator - <B>In view of this, it may be necessary to add up to 3-4 times the standard amount of inhibitor to your heating system depending on the number of cast iron radiators installed. </B>

<b>As all heating systems are unique, please use as a guide only:</b>

1 x bottle/500ml of inhibitor offers sufficient protection for heating systems of up to 100 litres, with water content information for our radiators shown under the specifications tab for each radiator product.

For larger heating systems, additional bottles of inhibitor may be required.
